Our Code of Conduct

The Tradesmen Associations Code of Conduct sets out the professional standards required by The Tradesmen Association as a condition of membership

Any breach of the Code of Conduct brought to the attention of The Tradesmen Association will be considered under our Disciplinary procedures.

 

The Tradesman must ALWAYS:

  • Smile, and be Efficient, Polite & Honest
  • Be Clean & Tidy during a job
  • Be Reliable, and if you cannot make an appointment notify the customer immediately
  • Be quick at giving the customer a competitive quotation
  • Ensure the customer is entirely satisfied with the job BEFORE you leave
  • Hold appropriate valid qualifications and insurance cover
  • Display consistently high standards of behaviour, work and appearance
  • Contact The Tradesmen Association immediately if any problems occur

 

The Tradesman must NEVER:

  • Be Rude or Unhelpful at any time
  • Make a job appear bigger than it is
  • Disclose the customers personal information with any 3rd party
  • Cut corners to get the job done quicker
  • Carry out work that you are not qualified or skilled to do
  • Leave a job unfinished
  • Request more money from the customer to complete the job, if the work should have been completed for the amount written in the quotation.
