Our Code of Conduct
The Tradesmen Associations Code of Conduct sets out the professional standards required by The Tradesmen Association as a condition of membership
Any breach of the Code of Conduct brought to the attention of The Tradesmen Association will be considered under our Disciplinary procedures.
The Tradesman must ALWAYS:
- Smile, and be Efficient, Polite & Honest
- Be Clean & Tidy during a job
- Be Reliable, and if you cannot make an appointment notify the customer immediately
- Be quick at giving the customer a competitive quotation
- Ensure the customer is entirely satisfied with the job BEFORE you leave
- Hold appropriate valid qualifications and insurance cover
- Display consistently high standards of behaviour, work and appearance
- Contact The Tradesmen Association immediately if any problems occur
The Tradesman must NEVER:
- Be Rude or Unhelpful at any time
- Make a job appear bigger than it is
- Disclose the customers personal information with any 3rd party
- Cut corners to get the job done quicker
- Carry out work that you are not qualified or skilled to do
- Leave a job unfinished
- Request more money from the customer to complete the job, if the work should have been completed for the amount written in the quotation.
