Our Code of Conduct

The Tradesmen Associations Code of Conduct sets out the professional standards required by The Tradesmen Association as a condition of membership

Any breach of the Code of Conduct brought to the attention of The Tradesmen Association will be considered under our Disciplinary procedures.

 

The Tradesman must ALWAYS:

  1. Smile, and be Efficient, Polite & Honest
  2. Be Clean & Tidy during a job
  3. Be Reliable, & let the customer know if there are problems
  4. Be quick at giving the customer a competitive quotation
  5. Ensure the customer is satisfied with the job BEFORE you leave
  6. Hold appropriate valid qualifications and insurance cover
  7. Display consistently high standards of behaviour & work
  8. Contact The Tradesmen Association quickly if problems occur

 

The Tradesman must NEVER

  1. Be Rude or Unhelpful at any time
  2. Make a job appear bigger than it is
  3. Disclose the customers personal information with any 3rd party
  4. Cut corners to get the job done quicker
  5. Carry out work that you are not qualified or skilled to do
  6. Leave a job unfinished
  7. Request more money from the customer to complete the job, if the work should have been completed for the amount written in the quotation.
